‘World Unity Satsang’ was organized today on the topic ‘Sufferings and Happiness’ at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar auditorium. The followers of different religions expressed meaningful thoughts to reveal the essence of ‘happiness of soul’. On the occasion, almost all the speakers unanimously said that sufferings are must for the purification and upliftment of soul. Running away from pains never removes pain but sharing other’s pains removes it. Speaking at the Satsang, Baha’i follower, Mrs Mohazir said that it Baha-u-llah’s life or Guru Govind Singhji’s, incarnations of Sri Rama or others, they received sufferings because sufferings elevates soul. When suffering intensifies, our soul elevates and we begin to get restless to imbibe other’s sufferings and then remove them.
Mr Abdi, Islamic follower, said that pain, bliss and comforts are abstract, similarly, God, Allah etc. are also abstract who cannot be bought with money. To get them you will have to give. Give love and receive love in return, ; if you seek happiness then give happiness; if you wish to earn respect from children, respect them first. If you are utterly depressed, imbibe other’s depression and your sufferings will run away. Mr Abdi further said that this life is like a vehicle who has to face troubles, sufferings and melancholy on the way but its your responsibility to drive the car safely on such roads.
Senior journalist, Mr Veer Vikram Bahadur Mishra said that few people have the tendency to be in pain. You remove one and the other steps in. Meaning to say that to be in bliss is one thing and owning sources of comforts are another. When Shri Rama was dethroned he was not pained rather he was happy (Pita Dinh moh kanan raju) ‘father gave me the territory in forest where I will be meeting saints and hermits. Unless your soul is associated with God, bliss will not be there. Place the God in your heart’s bank and as money increases with the growing interest, association with the God increases with the time. Mr A N Singh said that happiness and comforts are two different things Absence of comforts causes suffering whereas bliss is a state of being. Bliss is the matter of soul and comforts are subjects to senses. Association with God keeps soul in perpetual bliss but the body feels pain when associated with materialism. And last but not the least was the hearty thanks extended by the Baha’i follower and renowned educationist and Founder-Director of CMS, Dr Bharti Gandhi to all present on the occasion.
